청소년단체 활동 현황과 시사점 –4-H청소년 활동을 중심으로-

본 연구는 청소년단체활동의 현황 및 문제점을 바탕으로 활성화방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 청소년단체들은 고유한 목적과 교육방법, 프로그램을 통해 청소년의 성장과 발달에 중요한 역할을 해왔다. 그렇지만 청소년단체에 대한 정책적 배려가 매우 부족하고, 학교에서의 청소년단체 활동에대한 외면 등의 이유로 어려움이 가중되어 왔다. 이러한 상황에서 청소년단체 중 4-H회에 대한활동현황을 살펴보고, 발전방안을 논의하고자 하였다. 4-H회는 2000년 이후 회원수가 지속적으로증가하고 있으며, 청소년 회원들은 연간 5.3개의 프로그램에 20.7회 참가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 과거에 비해 참여하는 활동 프로그램이 다양해지고, 참여율도 높아지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한4-H활동에 대한 만족도는 응답자의 86.8%가 긍정적으로 응답하여 매우 높은 것으로 나타나고있었다. 조사에서 나타난 주요 결과를 토대로 시사점을 정리하면, 첫째, 초등학교 회원에 대한 저변확대가 필요하며, 둘째, 활동의 연속성을 확보할 수 있는 대책이 필요하고, 셋째, 사회변화와 수요자의 요구를 반영한 프로그램을 개발과 운영을 해야 하며, 넷째, 청소년단체 활동에 대한 정책적 배려와 학교-지역사회간 연계를 강화해야 함을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study sought to revitalize youth club activities based on current situation and problems. Youth club organizations have played an important role in the growth and development of youth through their unique purposes, educational methods and programs. However, there is a lack of policy consideration for youth organizations, and difficulties have been exacerbated for reasons such as the ignorance of youth club activities in schools. In this situation, we examined the status of 4-H activities among youth organizations and discussed the developmental plan. In 4-H club, the number of members has increased gradually since 2000, activity programs are diversified, and youth participation rate is increasing. In addition, satisfaction with 4-H activities is also very high, indicating that adolescents are very positive. The main findings of this study are summarized as follows: First, it is necessary to expand the base for elementary school members. Second, guarantee to ensure continuity of activities are needed. Third, programs that reflect social change and consumer needs Fourth, the policy consideration for youth club activities and the linkage between school and community should be strengthened
