고등학생이 인식한 진로체험 효과성과 진로관여행동의 관계: 진로신념의 매개효과를 중심으로

초록

배경: 최근 학교 진로교육에서 진로적응력 향상을 위한 진로체험활동이 강조됨에 따라 진로체험활동 지원정책이 확대되어 왔으며, 이에 진로체험활동이 실제 청소년의 진로 관련 태도와 행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 검증할 필요가 있다. 특히 고등학생을 대상으로 적응적 진로의사결정의 중요한 변인인 진로관여행동에 진로체험활동이 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 한다. 목적: 이 연구의 목적은 고등학생이 인식한 진로체험 효과성과 진로관여행동의 관계에서 진로신념의 매개효과를 밝히는 데 있다. 방법: 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 고등학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 총 277부를 분석에 활용하였다. 매개효과 분석은 SPSS PROCESS MACRO를 활용하였으며, 매개효과의 유의성 검증을 위해 부트스트래핑 분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 고등학생이 인식한 진로체험 효과성은 진로관여행동에 정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 진로신념의 매개효과도 유의하게 나타났다. 특히 진로신념의 하위요인별 매개효과를 확인한 결과 진로계획 명확성의 간접효과만 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 시사점: 진로체험에 대한 긍정적 인식은 진로신념과 진로관여행동에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있으며, 특히 자신의 진로계획을 명확히 설정하도록 하여 자신과 직업세계에 대해 더욱 적극적으로 탐색하도록 돕는다. 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 향후 고등학생 대상 진로체험과 이를 통한 진로개발을 돕기 위한 실무적 시사점을 제언하였다.

Abstract

Background: Recently, as career experience activities have been increasingly emphasized in school career education to enhance career adaptability, policies supporting career experience activities have expanded. Consequently, it has become necessary to examine how these career experience activities impact adolescents' career-related attitudes and behaviors. This study specifically aims to explore the impact of career experience activities on occupational engagement behaviors, which is a significant variable in adaptive career decision-making among high school students. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the mediating effect of career beliefs in the relationship between perceived career experience effectiveness and occupational engagement behaviors among high school students. Methodology: The survey was conducted among high school students, with a total of 277 responses used for analysis. The mediating effect analysis was performed using the SPSS PROCESS Macro, and a bootstrapping analysis was conducted to verify the significance of the mediating effect. Findings: The perceived effectiveness of career experience activities by high school students had a positive effect on occupational engagement behaviors, and the mediating effect of career beliefs was also found to be significant. Notably, when examining the mediating effects by sub-factors of career beliefs, only the indirect effect of career planning clarity was statistically significant. Conclusions: Positive perceptions of career experience activities have been shown to positively influence career beliefs and occupational engagement behaviors. Specifically, helping students clearly define their career plans encourages more proactive exploration of themselves and the world of work. Based on the results of this study, practical implications are proposed to support career experience and development for high school students in the future.
