Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the influence of burnout and communication among nurses in integrated nursing care servicewards on person-centered care nursing. The participants of this study were 142 nurses employed at tertiary and general hospitals. Data were collected from September 20 to October 13, 2023. Frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were calculated, and independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, Mann-Whitney U test and multiple regression analysis wereperformed, all using the IBM SPSS/WIN Statistics 27.0 program. The result of multiple regression analysis indicated that communication (t=6.69, p<.001) had the highest influence on person-centered care nursing, followed by total career between 3 and 7years (t=-3.13, p=.002), more than 12 years (t=-2.63, p=.010), and fixed shift work (t=2.10, p=.039). The explanatory power was39.7%. Communication skills, total career, and work type of nurses in integrated nursing care service wards significantly influenceperson-centered care performance. Based on this, it is necessary to develop an integrated education and management program thatincludes standardized simulation-based communication training, tailored mentoring programs for nurses with less than three yearsof experience, and policies to expand fixed shift work.
