소방공무원의 감정노동과 직무만족에 대한 인식차이 분석

이 연구는 소방공무원들의 감정노동이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였으며, 내근직과 현장직간의 감정노동 및 직무만족 인식 차이를 살펴보았다. 내근직 근무자들의 경우 감정노동이 직무만족에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 현장직 근무자들은 감정표현 빈도와 감정 부조화 요인이 직무만족에 유의미한 부(-)의 영향력을 미치고 있었다. 이는 현장직 근무자의 대민업무로 인한 감정표현 빈도가 높고, 이에 따른 감정 부조화로 직무만족에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다. 결론적으로 현장근무 소방관의 감정표현 빈도가 많고 감정 부조화가 클수록 직무만족에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 한편, 내근직 행정근무(indoor service) 소방관과 외근직 현장근무(outside service) 소방관의 집단간 감정노동과 직무만족 인식 차이는 감정 부조화 인식에서만 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있었는데, 이는 내근직보다 현장직 근무자들이 보다 많은 시민들대면접촉하는데서 오는 감정의 괴리가 더 많이 발생하기 때문인 것으로 풀이된다. 따라서 향후 현장직 소방관의 경우, 감정노동 치유를 위한 제도와 프로그램 마련이 시급할 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of emotional labor on job satisfaction among firefighters and the discrepancy in their emotional labor and job satisfaction between the indoor and outdoor workers. According to the study results, emotional labor had no significant effect on job satisfaction among indoor service fire-fighters, while the frequency of emotional expressions and emotional discordance had a negative effect on job-satisfaction among outdoor-service fire-fighters. Such difference is mostly because of the gap in the frequency of interactions with civilians between the two job types. This research highlights an urgent need of the system and programs specifically for mitigating emotional labor of fire-fighters in Korea.
