Abstract
This study examines the working environment and actual conditions of 175 hairdressers working in Busan Metropolitan City, focusing on the impact of economic satisfaction on turnover intention. Frequency analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, correlation, and regression analyses were performed. According to the results, hairdressers in Busan are predominantly unmarried females in their 20s and 30s, most of whom are college graduates. They typically work less than ten hours per day, with approximately six days off per month, and earn an average monthly 2 million KRW. Significant differences in economic satisfaction and turnover intention were observed depending on income level, and economic satisfaction was shown to negatively affect turnover intention. The findings of this study highlight the necessity of improving compensation systems and working conditions to enhance job satisfaction and reduce turnover among hairdressers.
