Abstract
This paper is an attempt to define and schematize the lexicographic definition. The basic theoretical position here taken is that each signification of a word should be described according to its possible syntactic structures. We think that semantics is a function of syntax. And we made some propositions to construct the definition explicitly and rigourously with a view to the future mechanical treatment.
