탁영 김일손의 자취는 고향인 청도에 다양한 전승물로 남아 있다. 김일손은 굵직한 역사적 사건의 중심에 있고 삶의 비극성을 지니고 있다. 지적 호기심을 견인하고 정서적 긴장감을 유발한다는 점에서 문화콘텐츠로 개발될 때 현대인에게 교훈과 감동을 동시에 줄 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 우선 김일손의 삶에서 보편적인 의미를 끌어내는 일이 필요하다. 김일손은 고려말 節義의 정신사적 흐름을 계승하는 신진사류 가문에서 태어나 뛰어난 능력과 김종직의 후원에 힘입어 중앙정계로 진출해 사림파로 성장했다. 언관과 사관의 직분에 충실해 직간하고 직필하면서도 줄곧 사직하고자 했다. 이러한 삶의 과정을 자세히 분석해 보면 하나의 키워드를 발견할 수 있다. 김일손의 삶을 관통하는 핵심은 그의 호인 ‘濯纓’이다. ‘濯纓’은 치세에는 벼슬길에 나아가고 난세에는 물러난다는 의미이다. 김일손은 성종 대에는 ‘탁영’을 능동적으로 적용해 적극적으로 직간과 직필에 충실함으로써 이상적인 군주를 지향하려는 성종을 추동하고자 했다. 연산군 대는 ‘탁영’을 원래의 의미대로 적용해 세상에서 물러나 처사로서의 삶을 살고자 했으나, 훈구파의 공격으로 인해 불행한 비극을 겪었다. ‘탁영’이 삶의 중심이었던 만큼 김일손 전승물의 의미는 ‘탁영’을 중심으로 해석할 수 있고, 이를 바탕으로 탁영기념관을 짓거나 전승물들을 하나의 관광루트로 묶거나 탁영 기념물을 제작하는 등의 방향으로 콘텐츠를 개발할 수 있다. 이러할 때 ‘탁영’은 OSMU(one source multi use)로 손색이 없을 것이다.
Abstract
The legacy of Takyeong(濯纓) Kim Il-son(金馹孫) remains in the heritage items passed down in his hometown of Cheongdo(淸道). He lived during major historical events and his life was tragic. If his life and legacy are developed as cultural contents, inducing intellectual curiosity in readers and stimulating their emotional tension, it will both give modern people a lesson, move them. Born into a family of a new generation scholar and inheriting the flow of spiritual history around integrity at the end of Goryeo, he advanced to the central political world and became a key figure in the Sarimpa(士林派) based on his superb abilities and with the support of Kim Jong-jik(金宗直). Being sincere in his position as an Eongwan(言官) and Sagwan(史官), he would submit his direct criticism in writing to the king, and continuously tried to resign. The important keyword in his life was ‘Takyeong(濯纓)’. ‘Takyeong’ means that washing one's body in clean water and one's feet in murky water. He lived his life by applying ‘Takyeong’ actively during the reign of Seongjong(成宗) and by applying it in the original meaning during the reign of Yeonsangun(燕山君). Based on the contemporary meanings of his heritage items around "Takyeong," this study provides examples; including Takyeong Memorial Hall, a tour route encompassing the objects, and production of Takyeong souvenirs. These will make the concept of "Takyeong" as OSMU(one source, multi-use).
