본 논문의 핵심 내용은 다가오는 세대의 기독교 영성 형성에 대한신학적 대안 중에 하나로서 포스트모던 성서 해석 방법을 제시한 것이다. 특히 모더니티의 이원론과 지식 중심과 이성 중심적인 해석을 넘어서 “체화된 영성 형성”을 위한 성서 해석 방법을 제시하였다. 이러한 신학적 접근은 기존의 모더니티 신학 방법을 넘어서는 메타신학(meta-theology)이라고 할 수 있다. 메타신학은 합리적 이론신학을 넘어서 영성 형성 혹은 체화된 인식론적인 면을 깊이 다루는 특성을 갖고 있다. 체화된 영성은 최근에 인지과학에서 언급하고 있는 체화된 마음을 응용한 개념이다. 체화된 마음을 응용하게 된 이유는 체화된 마음은 이성 중심이거나 이원론적인 것이 아니라 몸과 마음과 관계성의 총체적인 인지이기 때문이다. 성서 텍스트는 인간적 소통을 위한 이성적이해의 논리적 연속성과 부합성이 작용하는 면이 있지만, 경험적 적용성과 타당성의 심미적 가치를 더 깊이 함축하고 있다. 성서 텍스트의경험적 적용성과 타당성은 이성 중심적인 차원을 넘어서 체화된 인지작용을 통한 체화된 영성을 형성이 가능한 것이다. 모더니티의 영향을 받은 신학은 경직된 문자주의와 명제주의 신학을 시도하였다. 이것은 성서의 진리를 지나치게 문자와 명제 중심으로 해석하면서 성서의 역동적 속성을 왜곡시킨 면이 있다. 성서 해석은 경직된 문자주의나 명제주의에 고착되면 오히려 각질화 되고 왜곡된 해석을 불러올 수 있다. 성서 텍스트는 신의 감동으로 된 것으로서역동성과 유연성을 갖고 있다. 같은 텍스트라 할지라도 읽을 때마다해석과 의미가 달라질 수 있고, 체화된 영성이 형성되면서 신앙적 깨달음과 영적 변화가 일어난다. 체화된 영성 형성을 위한 몸과 마음과관계성으로 성서 텍스트 해석에 접근하는 포스트모던 성서 해석 방법을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This essay deals with a meta-theology for biblical hermeneutics to elaborate a plausible channel to effectively communicate the Biblical contents with postmodern science-technological culture. Those who are within the frame of postmodern principle of understanding tend to be less susceptive to the traditional inter pretation of the Bible and even to the modernity principle of interpretation. This essay tries to submit an alternative to it as a method of meta-theology of biblical hermeneutics grounded on contemporary deliberations of cognitive sciences. The methods and ideas of modernity have failed in disclosing the adequate elucidation of the Bible by overemphasizing reason, logic, structure, and anthropology. The inadequacy of modernity entailed alienations of postmodern people from practical embodiment of the genuine religious message of the Biblical text. The theological methods of modernity have influenced Christianity to progress the propositional,noeti-centric, and linguistic theologies in both liberal and evangelical theologies. It is obvious that these methods are no longer comprehensively persuasive and meaningful tools for those who are with postmodern way of thinking. The biblical contents of meta-narrative go beyond those propositional and literal connotations of the text. This essay submits a hermeneutic method by the way of conversation with embodied cognition theory and philosophy of sciences. As mind, body, and relation work together in cognitive process, holistic engagement in cognitive relation with the biblical text would be necessary for appropriate formation of spirituality. To undergo the formation of embodied spirituality subsists to exercise the relational, emotional, intellectual, and bodily cognition of the meta-narrative of the Bible. Accordingly this essay claims that a postmodern method of the biblical interpretation is necessarily required as a meta-scientific understanding of Christian experience of the Divine matters. It would plausibly guide people to embodied spirituality through effective communication of the text with the coming generation.
