청년예술가 일자리 실태에 대한 메타분석을 통한 지원 방안 연구

본 연구는 청년예술가들의 일자리 실태조사·분석을 통해 이들의 성공적 사회진출 지원 방안을 모색하기 위하여 수행되었다. 청년예술가들의 일자리 실태조사를 위해 예술대학을 졸업한지 3년 이내의 예술가들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 설문지는 공통 문항과 음악, 미술, 무용, 영상, 연극, 전통예술 등 6개 분야별 추가 문항으로 구성되었으며 총 619명이 응답하였다. 그 결과, 청년예술가들이 안정적인 일자리를 찾는 것은 쉽지 않으며 전문성을 발휘할 기회가 절대적으로 부족하고 적절한 처우를 받지 못함을 알 수 있었다. 대학의 진로교육이나 지원 제도 및 정책에 있어 개선이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 예술분야별 일자리는 창작(공연), 기획, 교육(봉사), 연구 등으로 유형화 할 수 있었으나, 추가적인 연구와 체계적인 분류, 진로 로드맵 제시를 통해서 진로교육과의 연계가 필요할 것이다. 연구결과를 종합하면, 청년예술가 일자리 지원방안으로 1) 예술대학 교육과정 개선, 2) 예술분야 취·창업 모델 개발, 3) 예술가 지원 제도 및 정책의 효율적 활용 및 보완, 4) 지역사회연계를 통한 예술가의 사회적 역할에 대한 제고, 5) 예술교육 활성화를 통한 예술 시장 저변 확대 등이 요구된다.
Abstract
This study aims to find support plans for young artists’ employment through meta-analysis of researches on the actual conditions of their employment. The result of the survey showed that stable jobs for the artists were hard to find and most of them were treated poorly. Career education, policies, and systems for young artists should be improved. Their occupation types of arts are categorized as creation(perform), administration, education, research. More systemic approaches and researches on job classification in arts and creative road maps are also required. In conclusion, as supportive plans for young artists’ employment, we suggest 1) improvement of curriculum of art major in college/university, 2) development of employment model in arts, 3) efficient application and improvement of policies and support systems for the artists, 4) considering the roles of artists in society through community-based projects, 5) art market expansion through invigorating arts education.
