현대 ‘보도사진’에서 ‘저자성’의 문제 연구- 뤽 들라이예의 사진을 중심으로

본 논문의 목표는 역사적 사건들을 미적 관조, 혹은 관음주의의 대상으로 축소시킬 수 있다는 점에서 논쟁을 불러일으켰던 현대 보도사진의 예술화 현상에서 ‘저자성’이 사진 속에서 발현되는 양상을 살펴보고 그 의미를 논의하는 데 있다. 특히 2000년대 초반 보도사진가에서 예술가로 전향한 상징적인 사진가 뤽 들라이예의 작업을 분석대상으로 삼고, 그의 사진에 나타나는 ‘저자성’을 메를로-퐁티의 현상학과 바르트의 저자개념을 토대로 분석함으로써 현대 보도사진의 새로운 미학적, 철학적 지평의 가능성을 가늠해 보고자 한다.
Abstract
This paper aims to examine aspects of 'authorship' and its meaning in the recent aestheticization of the contemporary photojournalism and the controversial claim that this aestheticization reduces historical events to a simple object of aesthetic appreciation or voyeurism. Focusing on Luc Delahaye, the former photo journalist who became an artist in the early 2000s, this paper will analyse the authorship in his photography in the light of Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology and Roland Barthes’ theory of "death of author." Using this approach, I hope to explore the possibilities of a new aesthetic and philosophical prospect in the contemporary photojournalism.
