독일 킨더오퍼와 한국의 어린이를 위한 오페라의 공연 및 운영 분석 연구

본 연구는 독일과 한국의 어린이 오페라 공연과 운영 내용의 특징을 살피고, 한국 어린이 오페라의 향후 방향성을 제언하고자 한다. 문헌연구로 최근 독일의 주요 극장의 킨더오퍼 공연과 교육 프로그램 운영 내용 및 주요 작품 사례와 한국의 어린이를 위한 오페라 공연과 교육 프로그램을 조사·분석하였다. 그 결과, 전용극장 등 안정적 기반으로 킨더오퍼의 발전을 이룬 독일에서 연령대별 맞춤 공연과 교육을 개발 및 제공하며, 지역 극장 및 학교와 연계하여 어린이들의 참여와 주도성을 기를 수 있는 다양한 시도를 하고 있음을 발견하였다. 한국 역시 어린이 오페라의 양적, 질적 성장을 이루어 온 바, 오페라 전용극장과 주요 국공립오페라단 등에서 안정적인 기반을 갖추어 체계적 지원을 하여 어린이 오페라 공연에 있어 관객의 수준에 맞춘 다양하고 창의적인 발전을 도모할 것을 제언한다.
Abstract
This study examines the characteristics of children’s opera performances and operations in Germany and Korea, with the aim of suggesting directions for the future development of children’s opera in Korea. Through a literature review, the study investigates and analyzes Kinderoper performances and educational programs at major theaters in Germany, as well as children’s opera performances and educational programs in Korea. The findings reveal that in Germany, Kinderoper has developed with a stable foundation, including dedicated theaters, performances and educational programs tailored to different age groups. Additionally, various efforts are made to foster children’s participation and leadership by collaborating with regional theaters and schools. In Korea, while significant quantitative and qualitative growth has been achieved in children’s opera, systematic support is needed through opera-specific theaters and major national and public opera companies, to foster diverse and creative developments in children’s opera performances that match the audience's level.
