Abstract

This study focuses on the necessity of efficient operation of a culture and arts education program of public performing arts theaters and the development and operation of a direct and indirect complex culture and arts experience education program based on artistic values in culture and arts education. A culture and arts education is a means of human emotional expressions, and it is necessary to introduce an effective culture and arts education method and to develop a sustainable medium- and long-term education program in terms of “education through the arts” rather than “education for art” For effective culture and arts education, public performing arts theaters can establish their spatial identity through supporting a complex culture and arts experience education program. In addition, it can be recognized as an interactive tool of socialization through developing and supporting complex culture and arts education. This experience-based complex culture and arts education is now recognized by many advanced countries as an effective education method in the acquisition of aesthetic skills, study skills, planning skills, emotional skills, and cooperative ability. However, currently, Korean public performing arts theaters have a passive stance in the operation of intergrated culture and arts education based on experience. In order to find a direction of advanced culture and arts education, Korean public performing arts theaters should have active willingness to introduce and investigate educational models of culturally developed countries with excellent networks.
