Abstract
The art of Frida Kahlo(1907-1954) is the world of finding the original form in the unconscious. In his world of art, experiences and memories act as illusions, representing metonymy. The purpose of this study is to graft the essence of art that occurs in a person’s mental world with the archetype of the unconscious. Accordingly, in the analytical psychology of Carl and Gustav Jung, the process by which the archetype of the unconscious causes metonymy in the traces of art is analyzed. Accordingly, the essence of Frida Kahlo’s art forms a mutual exchange with the archetype of the unconscious of analytical psychology. As the so-called unconscious is transformed into consciousness, the changed perception is reproduced as a metaphor. As a result, it induces an integrated bodily sensation as an archetype according to the unconscious. In this body self, the cause of stimulating obsessive-compulsive disorder is concealed by the induction of metonymic action. Here, the activity that is triggered by neurosis due to the loss of the soul and the anguish of experience is converted into an image. Moreover, the soul follows the unstable self-consciousness into fantasies. In the end, in Frida Kahlo’s art, metonymy takes place in the trauma of concealed solitude and chaos, capturing the original form of the soul.
