본 논문은 디트리히 본회퍼의 ‘평화’ 이해에 관한 기독교윤리학적담론을 다루고 있다. 디트리히 본회퍼의 윤리는 ‘교회론적 평화윤리’(ekklesiologische Friedensethik)라고 정의할 수 있다. 성도의 교제 에서 ‘교회의 이해’로부터 시작된 본회퍼의 신학은 ‘하나님의 계명’으로서의 ‘교회의 평화적 과제’를 논의를 거쳐, 나를 따르라와 윤리학에서는 각각 ‘평화교육’ 과 ‘평화윤리’ 사상으로 발전되기 때문이다. 본회퍼의 ‘평화’는 하나의 우리, 하나의 교회, 하나의 현실을 이뤄나가는 끊임없는 과정이다. 본회퍼의 ‘평화이해’는 현 한국교회의 ‘하나님의 뜻’ 에 대한 무분별한 남용에 대해 경고한다. 또한 분열과 비평화적현실 속에서 한 개인이나 단체, 국가의 자기목적을 위한 주장만을 내세우지 말고, ‘책임윤리’, ‘공동체의 윤리’, ‘제자됨’, ‘교회됨’ 의 회복을 통해진정한 ‘하나의 우리’(ein Wir)를 이루어 나가라고 주문하고 있다. 본회퍼는 어떠한 원칙이 ‘하나님의 현실’을 방해한다고 보았으며, 시대와 현실에적합한 예수 그리스도 안에서 계시된 하나님의 뜻의 분별을 통한 평화지향적 교회를 희망했다. 본회퍼의 평화개념을 통해 마련할 수 있는 실천적과제들은, ‘고난을 당하는 사랑’과, ‘선의 실현’을 통한 ‘교회됨’ 이며, ‘사회의 부조리와 부정의에 대한 능동적인 저항’ 일 것이다. 본회퍼가히틀러 암살단에 가담한 것은, ‘폭력을 통한 저항’ 이기에 ‘비평화적’ 이라기보다는, 다음 세대를 위한 ‘책임적 자유 안에서의 행동’이었다고이해될 수 있다. 본회퍼의 ‘평화’에 대한 이해는 보편적인 개념으로 규범화할 수없다. 본회퍼를 해석하는 이들은 본회퍼의 입장들을 성급하게 일반화하려는 의도가 있지 않은지 늘 반성과 성찰을 해야 할 것이다. 본회퍼의평화개념은 오늘날 시대적 사유체계 가운데 자기목적을 감춘 채 그의평화이해를 모방하는 것을 요구하는 것이 아니라, 하나님의 뜻에 따른현실 적합한 전환과 그리스도론과 교회론에 근거한 계속적인 사유를요구한다.
Abstract
This paper presents a Christian ethics discourse on Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s understanding of ‘peace.’ His ethics can be defined as ‘ecclesiological peace ethics (Ekklesiologische Friedensethik)’ since his theology, which began with ‘understanding of church’ in Sanctorim Communio, evolved into ‘peace education’ in Discipleship and ‘peace ethics’ in Ethics, respectively, through the discussion of ‘peaceful tasks of church’ as ‘commandments of God.’ Bonhoeffer's ‘peace’ is an ongoing process of fulfilling one us, one church, and one reality. His ‘understanding of peace’ warns of reckless abuse of the ‘will of God’ by Korean churches today. It also demands that individuals, groups or states should become a true ‘one us (ein Wir)’ through the recovery of ‘Responsibility Ethics,’ ‘Community Ethics,’ ‘being a Disciple,’ and ‘being a Church’ instead of voicing their respective goals in the reality of disruption and no peace. He thought that certain principles disturbed the ‘reality of God’ and had hopes for a peace-oriented church by discerning the meanings of God revealed in Jesus Christ fit for the times and reality. His concept of peace can lead to such practical tasks as ‘love subject to suffering,’ ‘being a church’ through the ‘reality of good,’ and ‘active resistance against the irrationality and injustice of society.’ His move to join the assassination team of Hitler is understood as an ‘act in responsible freedom’ for the next generation rather than ‘non-peaceful’ since it was ‘resistance through violence.’ Bonhoeffer's understanding of ‘peace’ cannot be standardized as a universal concept. Those who try to interpret him should always reflect on and examine themselves to see whether they have an intention to rapidly generalize his positions. His concept of peace demands that we should do continuous thinking based on a switch that matches reality according to the will of God, Christology, and Ecclesiology instead of mimicking his understanding of peace with our purposes hidden in the middle of today’s system of thought.
