Abstract
The primary purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of simple volatic cell fabrication class on the formation of electricity concept. Construction of the simple volatic cell was integrated into the third unit of the first semester for the "Light On" section of elementary 4th grade students. A conventional lesson was also applied to the control group, while an exercise in voltaic cell fabrication was taught to the test group. The results of the two groups before and after the class were categorically divided and compared. It can be concluded that elementary grade 4th students treated by the simple voltaic cell fabrication class were able to better understand concepts of electric cells, parallel and series connections rather than those received the conventional lesson on the topic. As such, having the students experience fabricating an voltaic cell is a more effective way for teaching electricity.
