이 연구는 Martin Heidegger의 존재론을 토대로 독자 현존재(Dasein)의 본래성을 탐구한다. 본고의 목적은 실존으로서의 유의미한 읽기를 실행하는 독자의 모습을 고찰함으로써 읽기 교육의 새로운 방향을 모색하는 데 있다. 인간 현존재는 자신의 각자적인 본래성을 실현하는 현존재로 존재하기도 하며, 자기 자신으로 존재하지 않고 비본래적으로 존재하기도 한다. 독자 현존재의 비본래성은 텍스트읽기에 있어 다른 사람들의 통제를 받으며 세간적인 가치를 좇는 모습으로 나타난다. 비본래성에 제한된 독자는 첫째, 평균성에 의존함으로써 균등화를 출현시킴으로써 존재의 고유한 유의미성을 상실한다. 둘째, 공공성을 모든 가치의 기준과 척도로 삼아 빈말을 행한다. 셋째, 독자는 자신의 존재가능성을 망각하고 호기심에 탐닉하게 된다. 비본래성으로 인하여 독자 현존재는 텍스트 이해 내용과 이해능력 면에서 획일화되며, 자신의 고유한 존재가능성와 관련 없이 텍스트 의미를 구성하거나 왜곡한다. 본고는 독자가 비본래성에서 벗어나 본래성을 실현하는 탈바꿈에 초점을 둔다. 독자 현존재의 본래성은 텍스트와의 관계 속에서 자기 존재를 이해하고, 자신의 고유한 존재가능성을 기투하여 실존하는 데있다. 본래성을 실현하는 독자는 첫째, 자신의 존재가능성을 텍스트 의미 생성의 기준으로 삼는다. 둘째, 텍스트 이해 과정에서 자신의 존재가능성을 자각한다. 셋째, 텍스트 의미 생성을 통해 존재가능성에 대한 마음씀을 실천한다. 결론적으로, 독자 현존재의 읽기 목적은 본래적으로 자기 존재의 이해에 있다. 의미의 공속적 생성 과정으로써 독자 현존재의 본래성은 실현될 수 있다. 독자는 자기 존재와의 관계 속에서 텍스트 존재 의미를 생성하여 은폐되어 있던 존재를 드러내고 기존의 세계로부터 초월한다. 즉, 독자는 자기 존재를 이해하기 위하여 읽기를 수행하며, 텍스트를 통해 자신의 존재가능성을 깨닫고, 실존하기 위해 초월을 실제 삶 속에서 실행함으로써 새로운 세계를 형성하며 변화한다.
Abstract
This study based on the theory of Martin Heidegger is about the reader as the Authentic Dasein. The purpose of this study is to suggest a new direction of reading education by studying reading which is an existential performance. As the Dasein, the reader's authenticity is realizing his or her respective “being”. The reader's non-authenticity is in being controlled by others in reading texts and pursuing public values. First, equalisation emerges by relying on averaging. It makes the reader lose significance about his or her being. Second, publicness emerges as a criterion and measure of all values. The reader imitates others in reading without connection with being. Third, the reader forgets one’s being and indulges in curiosity. Therefore, readers are uniformed in text comprehension, constructing or distorting the meaning of the text regardless of their uniqueness about their being. This study focuses on the reader who realize his or her authenticity of reading. Readers's authenticity lies in existing by understanding themselves in relation with texts. First, their respective possibilities about being are the criterion for generating meaning in reading. Second, they realize their possibilities about being in the process of meaning generation. Third, they try to actualize their possibilities about being. In conclusion, the purpose of reading lies in understanding reader-self about being. The reader's authenticity as the Dasein is a process of pursuing the Altetheia. By understanding the text in relation with himself or herself, the reader reveals the meaning of the text which was concealed. Reading is for understanding reader-self about being. The reader realizes his of her possibility about being and performs a new world by changing himself or herself as the transcendence.
