Abstract

This study first provides a theoretical framework on Emotional Intelligence(EI) that can lead to success individual life and second concentrates on concerns about emotional education. Bar-On(1997) defines Emotional Intelligence as "skills or competencies that can be influenced with person's ability that deals with successfully in environmental demands and presses." Based on this definition, Emotional Intelligence consists of five abilities: (a) intra-personal, (b) inter-personal,(c) adaptability, d) stress management, and (e) general mood. Based on this theoretical foundation, this study introduces many Social Emotional Learning(SEL) programs that teachers can use in school. These programs are useful to students for development of EI competencies. But there are no compre- hensive programs yet. Therefore, this study propose developing a comprehensive program through systematic theory.
