Abstract
This study aims to address the limitations of outcome-oriented evaluation amid the proliferation of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in education and develop and validate the clarity, specificity, creativity, relevance, expansibility, and improvement potential (CSCREI) model for evaluating “learning prompts,” which represent the student–AI interaction process. To this end, a two-round Delphi survey with 15 experts in elementary education, AI convergence education, and educational evaluation to analyze the content validity ratio (CVR). The results of the first round showed that the overall direction of the model was valid, but the evaluation criterion “complexity” was rejected based on expert consensus (CVR = −0.07) that it was unsuitable for elementary students’ cognitive developmental stage. Consequently, in the second round, this study revised and supplemented this criterion with “expansibility,” referring to the connection between learning contents and the deepening of thought. Finally, six evaluation criteria (CSCREI) were established. The results demonstrated that all evaluation criteria in the modified model achieved high validity with CVR values of 0.73 or higher. In particular, expansibility reached unanimous consensus with a CVR of 1.00. Furthermore, the model also achieved high field applicability (CVR = 0.87), proving its usefulness as a practical process-oriented evaluation tool. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to the paradigm shift in AI-utilized education evaluation by presenting specific evaluation criteria and rubrics for fostering AI literacy under the 2022 Revised National Curriculum.
