무형문화재를 기반으로 한 지역축제의 정체성

민속연행에 대한 재현과 복원 이전의 모습이 면밀히 고증되지 않은 채 무형문화재로 지정되고, 더 나아가 지역축제로 기능한다면 민속 문화는 물론 축제의 본질도 크게 왜곡될 수 있다. 지역 축제인 동시에 중요무형문화재로 지정되어 있는 ‘경산자인단오제’는 경산지역의 민속 문화인 ‘단오굿’에서 1971년 ‘경산자인단오제(중요무형문화재 제44호)’로의 지정, 그리고 오늘날 경산시의 대표 축제로 대형화되는 변모과정을 거치면서 ‘단오굿’ 본래의 문화적 맥락이 흐려지고 정체성이 모호해졌다. 경산자인단오제가 단오의 세시의례 또는 축원굿으로서의 문법과 연행민속의 맥락을 살리면서 지역 축제로 발전하기 위해서는, 지정당시 잘못된 부분에 대한 지적과 본디 민속의 전승에 대한 학문적 논의가 가능한 범위 안에서 수용되어야 할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 전승 주체를 비롯한 관과 지역사회 차원의 노력은 경산자인단오제가 지역의 온전한 문화적 기능을 수행할 수 있도록 하는 전제가 된다.
Abstract
As a regional festival, Gyeongsanjain Dano Festival was designated(No. 44, important intangible cultural property) in 1971. The identity of Gyeongsanjain Dano Festival. and Contextural meaning has become ambigious as Dano Gut by enlarning the scall of Gyeongsanjain Dano Festival. To enable Gyeongsanjain Dano Festival to revive the grammar of ritual of Dano or petition ceremony and the context of current ethnicity and thus develop as the regional festival, it seems that the wrong part at the time of designation should be pointed and the learning debate on the inheritance of ethnicity should be accepted in the scope. The effort of government including inheritance principal and the community is prerequisite for cultural function for Gyeongsanjain Dano Festival to be rooted in the local life and to play the entire role of important intangible cultural property.
