『漢韓大辭典』에 기재된 『史記․本紀』 관련 어휘 誤謬硏究

Abstract

This research article selects four words, which include some problems with meaning interpretations, among the words relevant to 『Shiji Benji』 stated in the Great Chinese-Korean Dictionary and explains the most logical meaning interpretations of each of the four words, by comparing and contrasting them with the translated version of 『Shiji』. The main points of this article can be summarized as follows. First, in relation to necessary error corrections for appropriate meaning interpretations, this research inquires into the problems of incorrect meaning interpretations of two words, “kexue” and “boshi” described in the Great Chinese-Korean Dictionary. It is better to change the meanings of “kexue” from infringement and deprivation meaning botuo(剝奪) to cutbacks, removes, and alleviation which include the both meanings of cutting and reducing. Moreover, the meanings of “boshi” presented as sawing seeds and planting seedlings in addition to planting seeds at the right time in another version in the dictionary should be corrected as the first meaning interpretation only such as sawing seeds and planting seedlings not including the second meaning interpretation like planting seeds at the right time. Second, as for the deletion of inappropriate meaning interpretations and the addition of supplementary meaning interpretations, insufficient meaning items of “piji” and “ziyi” are examined. “Piji” does not mean “being very tired or exhausted” but means “just being tired” and thus the intensifying adverb, “very” should be removed from the item of meaning interpretations. Furthermore, the meaning of “ziyi” should be supplemented from “increasing” into “accumulating more and more.” On the basis of the fact that these problems are found out with the meaning interpretations of some relevant words of Shiji Benji presented in the Great Chinese-Korean Dictionary, it is also expected to point out several possible errors with other areas of the meaning interpretations of Shiji. In addition, this leads to the need that the current and future scholars may reexamine the research findings of the previous scholars about Shiji to make them better. Therefore, it is hoped that the results of this research can contribute with a little help to the error corrections of the Great Chinese-Korean Dictionary in the near future.
