선진유가의 경제사상은 공자와 맹자를 거쳐 순자에 이르러 더욱 정밀해지는 한편 현실주의적 경향을 띠게 된다고 할 수 있다. 순자에게 있어서 고대 성왕들의 경제정책은 이상적인 목표가 있는 것으로 이해되어졌는데, 그것은 바로 경제정책의 목표가 실질적인 시행과 이론적인 보충이 조화롭게 발현되는 것이었으며, 또한 그러할 때 비로소 진정한 가치가 드러나는 것이라고 순자는 생각했다. 그렇기 때문에 순자는 이상적인 정치를 실현할 수 있는 실질적인 경제정책을 다음과 같이 제시한다. 즉 형평성 있는 조세정책과 유능한 인재의 등용 및 합리적인 직업시스템의 확립 등이며, 또한 이러한 것들이 조화롭게 실현되는 것이 순자의 경제정책 청사진이라고 할 수 있는 것이다. 이와 같은 순자의 경제사상에 대하여 본문에서는 형평성 있는 조세정책과 유능한 인재의 등용 및 합리적인 직업시스템의 확립을 분석하는 방식으로 논의를 진행해 나갔다.
Abstract
Since then Confucius and Mencius, Xun-zi detailed Economic thought of Pre-Qin Confucianism, on the other hand, it had become a realistic tendency. Xun-zi understood that an economic policy of a sage king's had been an ideal aim. So he thought that the aim of economic policy must harmonize with practical operation and theoretical complement, and then a true value be able to be revealed. So Xun-zi suggested true economic policy for ideal politics as follows. 1) Balanced tax policy, selection of talented person and establishment of rational job 2) Realization of them. They are blueprints of Xun-zi's economic policy. Like this, on economic thought of Xun-zi this paper will attempt an analysis of the his balanced tax policy, selection of talented person and establishment of rational job.
