Космизм в творчестве Велимира Хлебникова

Abstract

In his article, the author studies the literary and philosophical heritage of the Russian writer and poet Velimir Khlebnikov. In addition to the interest in Khlebnikov’s spirited experiments in the field of the creation of words, the author’s study focuses on Biocosmological (and, in a broader sense, on the Russian cosmism’s) constituents of his work. The Cosmist component of Khlebnikov’s literary achievements is rooted in popular mythology; in a more rational sense – in the cultural tradition of Russian cosmism. Topicality of the issue (under study) is explained by the nature of the current cultural evolution - the urgent need for the development of integration processes in the contemporary global milieu. Khlebnikov was one of the first to investigate the national eposes of different people, both European and Asian; and he arrived at the important conclusion that traditionalism exists in the global avant-garde trend. Likewise, addressing the complex problems facing humanity, Khlebnikov revealed Biocosmological constituents and predicted the way out of the crisis. All this makes a call for the study of Velimir Khlebnikov's creative work at the present time.
