초록

This research is to investigate the formation and transition process of the modern Japanese compound word “nisite”. Prior research suggests that “nisite” was used as a conjunctive survey. Through findings in this study, it was confirmed that “nisite” was used as a conjunctive survey in the early 8th century. Although “nisite” was commonly found to be used as a conjunctive survey, the study found an example of the compound verb “nisite” being used as an inverse conjunction for the first time in the section of Itsubun of Owarinokuni from the early 8th century. It was confirmed that the compound verb “nisite”, which was initially used in the sense of conjunction, developed into a reverse conjunction over time. The compound verb “nisite” was used in conjunction surveys to describe a specific situation by connecting to a noun or adverb from Nihonsyoki, which was established in the year 720. It has been used since the 8th century to the present day. In addition, the compound “nisite” has been observed many times in Waka. In the beginning, conjunctive irradiative composites and impartial composites were used equally but the impartial composites became more common over time.
