Abstract
The emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has accelerated the integration of cutting-edge IT technologies into diverse fields, thereby shaping a more interconnected and intelligent society. Among these innovations, Artificial Intelligence(AI) has rapidly advanced into mainstream application, evoking comparisons with the flourishing schools of thought during the Warring States period. Within this context, the potential role of AI in the humanities-particularly in literary research and pedagogy—has garnered increasing attention. This paper continues the author’s line of inquiry into how AI can contribute to the study and instruction of classical Chinese poetry. It takes Three Hundred Tang Poems, one of the most widely circulated and representative anthologies of Tang poetry, as its central text. While traditional scholarship has primarily emphasized philological and textual approaches, this study explores new methodologies by leveraging the multimodal affordances of AI. The research is divided into two sections. The first focuses on learning applications, in which ChatGPT-5 is employed to analyze the anthology and generate visualizations such as statistical charts and word clouds. The second addresses teaching applications, examining how AI can be integrated into instructional contexts-for example, by offering poetic feedback and employing images or videos to enhance student engagement. In doing so, this study aims to demonstrate the potential of AI not only as an analytical tool but also as a pedagogical partner in the field of Chinese classical poetry.“
