Abstract
The effect of therapeutic approach of long-term walking exercise and bone marrow stromal cell(BMSC) transplantation on activation of remyelination and node of Ranvier formation related proteins in the rats with sciatic nerve injury. Eighty-three male SD(Sprague-Dawley) rats divided into thirteen groups; normal control group(CG), Sedentary group for 3, 8, and 10 weeks after sciatic nerve injury(SSG), Exercise group for 3, 8, and 10 weeks after sciatic nerve injury(SEG), BMSC transplantation group for 3, 8, and 10 weeks after sciatic nerve injury(SBG) and BMSC transplantation and exercise group for 3, 8, and 10 weeks after sciatic nerve injury(SBEG). BMSC transplantation and exercise combined group was upregulated remyelination- and node of Ranvier form-ation-related proteins during at the 3 and 10 weeks. Our findings suggest that the combination of BMSC transplantation and long-term walking exercise might be a promising therapeutic strategy for remyelination and node of Ranvier formation after peripheral nerve injury.
