빅데이터에 기반한 스포츠시설 연구 동향 분석 : 사회학적 해석을 중심으로

이 연구는 그동안 스포츠 영역에서 이루어진 체육시설 관련 연구의 지형을 분석하고 이를 토대로 학술적, 정책적 시사점을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 연구 목적 달성을 위해 스포츠시설 관련 연구가 처음 수행된 1971년 1월 1일부터2024년 1월 1일까지 스포츠시설을 주제로 수행된 연구 논문을 중심으로 자료를 수집하였다. 이후 수집된 자료는 특정 단어의상대적 빈도와 중요도를 파악하는 TF-IDF 분석과 이를 토대로 핵심 주제를 도출하는 LDA 기반 토픽 모델링을 통해 분석하였고, 총 4개의 토픽이 도출되었다. 첫 번째 토픽은 ‘스포츠시설 이용 만족도 및 품질조사’이다. 해당 토픽은 1990년대부터2000년대 초반까지 스포츠에 대한 국민적 요구에 부응하기 위해 공급된 체육시설의 서비스와 품질에 대한 연구가 주를 이루었다. 두 번째 토픽은 ‘공공재로서 스포츠시설의 운영 개선 방안’이다. 해당 토픽은 국민체육진흥법에 근거하여 설치된 각종 공공체육시설의 운영상 문제점, 법 제도적 한계 등을 도출하는 연구가 주를 이루었다. 세 번째 토픽은 ‘스포츠시설 활용 방안 연구’ 이다. 해당 토픽은 각종 메가 스포츠 이벤트 종료 후 스포츠시설을 어떻게 활용할 것인지 논의하는 연구가 주를 이루었다. 마지막 토픽은 ‘학교 스포츠시설 이용 활성화 방안’이다. 해당 토픽은 지역주민의 스포츠 참여 활성화를 위해 학교체육 시설(특히, 운동장)과 각종 교구 등을 어떻게 활용할 것인지에 대한 논의가 주를 이루었다. 본 연구는 연구 결과를 토대로 각종 체육시설이 변화하는 환경 속에서 효율적으로 설치・운영될 수 있도록 실효성 있는 학술적, 정책적 논의가 활발히 이루어지기를 기대하는 바이다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the landscape of sports facility-related research within the sports domain, providing academic and policy implications based on this analysis. For this purpose, research papers listed in the Korean Academic Citation Index (KCI) and the Research Information Service System (RISS) from January 1, 1971, to January 1, 2024, were collected and analyzed. The collected data were examined through TF-IDF analysis and LDA-topic modeling based on the frequency and importance of the text, resulting in four main topics. The first topic, 'User Satisfaction and Quality Survey of Sports Facilities,' predominantly covers studies on the service and quality of sports facilities supplied to meet the national demand for sports from the 1990s to the early 2000s. The second topic, 'Improvement Strategies for Sports Facilities as Public Goods,' mainly includes research identifying operational issues and legal limitations of various public sports facilities established under the National Sports Promotion Act. The third topic, 'Utilization Strategies for Sports Facilities,' focuses on discussions about the post-event use of facilities following various mega sports events. The final topic, 'Activation Strategies for School Sports Facility Use,' discusses how school sports facilities, (especially playgrounds) and various equipment, can be utilized to enhance local community sports participation. This research expects that the results will lead to vigorous academic and policy discussions for the effective establishment and operation of various sports facilities in a changing environment.
