초록

본 연구의 목적은 Skate Canada의 Long Term Development (LTD) 모델을 기반으로 국내 피겨스케이팅 종목의 장기선수발달을 위한 한국형 LTD 모델을 제안하고자 실시되었다. 국내 피겨스케이팅은 과도한 조기 전문화, 지도자 교육 및 인식, 환경 부족 문제를 나타내고 있다. 현재의 문제를 개선하고, 장기적인 발달을 위해 국내 시스템에 맞는 LTD 모델을 고안하여 각 스케이팅 단계 별 선수들의 훈련 목표와 함께 개인적인 발달 또한 고려할 수 있어야 한다. 두 번째로 지도자들이 체계적이고 다양한 훈련을 제공할 수 있도록 협회 차원에서 교육 프로그램을 제공하고, 지도자들이 새로운 지식을 습득할 수 있도록 폐쇄적인문화가 개선되어야 한다. 마지막으로 선수들이 부상의 위험에서 벗어나 기량 향상을 위한 노력을 쏟을 수 있도록 환경 개선이필요할 것으로 사료되며, 선수 생활 이후에 나아갈 수 있도록 스스로를 개발해나갈 수 있는 환경과 기회가 제공되어야한다. 국내 피겨스케이팅에 LTD 모델의 도입은 선수들의 발달과 스케이팅의 평생 참여 모두를 도모하여 피겨스케이팅 사회의 수직적, 수평적 발달을 위한 하나의 방안이 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Abstract

This study proposes a Korean Long-Term Development (LTD) model for figure skating, based on Skate Canada's LTD framework. Current issues in Korean figure skating include early specialization, inadequate leader education, and insufficient environmental support. To address current issues and ensure long-term development, we designed a LTD model tailored to the domestic system, emphasizing individual growth alongside the training objectives of athletes at each stage of their skating careers. The first recommendation is the implementation of an educational program to enable leaders to provide systematic and diverse training, along with fostering a culture that encourages continuous learning and knowledge acquisition among coaches. Improving the training environment to reduce injuries and support skill development is also suggested. The introduction of the LTD model in Korean figure skating is anticipated to facilitate both the vertical and horizontal growth of the sport by promoting athlete development and lifelong engagement in figure skating
