초록

Sea Waybill has been used as an alternative method which solves the B/L crisis. The carrier has increasingly issued Sea Waybill as a transport documents, because it is a non-negotiable document and the consignee does not need to present it to carrier for delivery of goods. That is a point that it solves the B/L crisis. The diffusion of the SWB(Sea-Waybill) has risen gradually like being clarified by the recent research and the investigation. In this paper, the reasons and primary factors for the rapid spread of SWB are clearly illustrated by making use of a questionnaire survey executed. In addition, the relationship between prevalence of SWB and “e-trade” is analyzed, which is not sufficiently examined in Naganuma (2004). Consequently, “Dependency of dealings”, “Top management”, “Compatibility”, and “Competitive pressures” turned into the primary adoption factor. Also, the score of “Dependency of dealings” was very high of them. This result agree with the findings in Naganuma (2004). Furthermore, as for spread of SWB, it became clear that it affects the development of “e-commerce in the international trade” to some extent

Abstract

Sea Waybill has been used as an alternative method which solves the B/L crisis. The carrier has increasingly issued Sea Waybill as a transport documents, because it is a non-negotiable document and the consignee does not need to present it to carrier for delivery of goods.
