연구목적: 최근의 국내물류시장, 트럭 화물운송시장은 위기라고 불릴 만큼 대내외 여건이 심각하다. 따라서 물류업계에서 서둘러 점검해야 할 사항중 하나는 트럭 운전자가 겪는 애로와 피로도의 정도를 파악해 보는 일이다. 본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 트럭 운전자들의 육체적, 정신적 애로의 원인과 향후 대처 방안을 실증적으로 조사, 분석함으로써 향후 물류 전략 수립에 기여하고자 한다. 논문구성/논리: 트럭 운송을 둘러싼 국내외 환경이 급변하고 있음을 감안할 때 운전자들과의 직접조사를 통해 이들의 실상과 애로 요인을 직접 파악하고 현안을 고민할 필요성이 점차 높아지고 있다. 트럭 운전자들의 문제는 우리나라 물류 및 국제 무역 전반에 직간접적 영향을 미칠 수가 있기 때문이다. 본 연구는 우리나라 트럭 운전자들의 육체적, 정신적 애로의 원인과 향후 대처 방안을 실증적으로 조사, 분석하였으며 분석방법으로는 ANOVA, Chi-Square분 석등이 활용되었다. 결과: 컨테이너 차량은 수면부족, 카고트럭은 도로체증, 탑차는 일일처리물량 과다, 마지막으로 기타차량의 경우 납품 스트레스가 가장 피로도에 영향을 많이 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또 컨테이너 차량의 경우 전체 운송시간중 야간운행 비율이 37%로 카고트럭 24%, 탑차 21% 보다 월등히 높았다. 나아가 수년째 지속되는 저운임 현상이 화물운전자들의 정신적 육체적 애로를 가중시키는 핵심 원인이 되고 있다. 독창성/가치: 그동안 학계에서 화물운전자의 삶과 애로, 직업적 고통문제를 직접적으로 접근한 연구는 많지 않았다. 그러나 트럭운전기사의 피로도와 애로요인은 물류의 현실과 분리된 전혀 별개의 문제가 아니다. 트럭운전기사들이 겪고 있는 모든 고충은 우리나라 물류의 실상 및 물류 여건에서 나온 것들이다. 본 연구는 우리나라 트럭 운전자들의 육체적, 정신적 애로의 원인과 향후 대처 방안을 실증적으로 조사, 분석함으로써 향후 물류 전략 수립 및 공로 운송의 안정화에 기여했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
Purpose: The domestic logistics market and truck cargo transportation market are serious enough to be called a crisis. Therefore, one of the things that needs to be checked quickly in the logistics industry is to figure out the degree of fatigue and difficulties experienced by truck drivers. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the establishment of future logistics strategies by empirically examining and analyzing the causes and future countermeasures of physical and mental difficulties of Korean truck drivers. Composition/Logic: Given the rapidly changing environment at home and abroad over trucking industry, there is a growing need to directly identify their reality and factors of difficulty through direct investigations with drivers. The problem for truck drivers is so important that it can have a direct or indirect impact on the nation's logistics and international trade as a whole. This research has empirically investigated and analyzed the causes of physical and psychological difficulties of truck drivers in Korea. Anova and Chi-Square Analysis were used as an analysis method. Findings: The analysis showed that container vehicles were suffering from sleep deprivation, cargo trucks from road congestion, box trucks from excessive daily throughput, and finally, for other vehicles, delivery stress was affecting the fatigue most. In addition, for container vehicles, 37 percent of the total transportation time was nightly driving, far higher than 24 percent for cargo trucks and 21 percent for box trucks. Furthermore, low freight rates, which have been around for years, are a key cause of increasing mental and physical difficulties for truck drivers. Originality/Value: Not many studies have directly approached the problems of life, difficulties and occupational pain of truck drivers in academia. But truck drivers' fatigue and hardship are not separate issues from logistics. This study empirically investigated and analyzed the causes and future countermeasures of difficulties of truck drivers in Korea, contributing to the establishment of future logistics strategies and stabilization of road transportation.
