본 연구는 노인의 지역사회복지서비스 환경이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 차별경험 인식의 매개 효과를 검증하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 ‘노인의인권감수성 확립을 위한 자기옹호 영향요인 도출 연구’ 자료를 활용하였다. 총502명의 자료가 사용되었으며, SPSS Macro 프로그램을 활용하여 매개효과 및 유의성 검증을 하였다. 주요 분석결과로는 첫째, 지역사회복지서비스 환경이 좋을수록 자아존중감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역사회복지서비스 환경은 노인 차별경험 인식에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 지역사회복지서비스 환경이 좋을수록 노인이 인식하는 차별 경험은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지역사회복지서비스 환경과 자아존중감의 관계에서 차별경험 인식은 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 노인의 긍정적 자아형성을 위한 실천적, 정책적 개입 방안을 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of the community welfare service environment on the self-esteem of older adults, with a particular focus on the mediating effect of perceived discrimination experiences. A total of 502 data points were used, and the SPSS Macro program was employed to verify the mediating effects and significance. The key findings are as follows: First, a more favorable community welfare service environment is positively associated with higher levels of self-esteem among older adults. Second, the community welfare service environment significantly affects the perception of discrimination experiences; specifically, a more favorable environment corresponds to a lower perception of discrimination among the elderly. Third, perceived discrimination experiences mediate the relationship between the community welfare service environment and self-esteem. Based on these empirical findings, the study discusses practical and policy-oriented intervention strategies aimed at enhancing positive self-concept in older adults.
