This article adresses how Confucianism can contribute to the formation of a new theory of sociology. The relationship between sociology and Confucianism has always been indifferent and unrelated. Sociology started with knowledge of modern Western European society and has always been based on modern Western European thinking and worldview. However, modern sociology cannot understand the fundamental problems facing modern society and play the role that sociology has to do. Therefore, in order to reflect on the existing worldview of sociology and to establish a new sociology category, it is necessary to seek a new worldview. Eastern thought, Confucianism, not only differs from the foundations of modern Western European thought and worldview, it provides a new perspective on a fundamental understanding. In this sense, Confucianism can be a good starting point for self-reflection of sociology and the construction of a new foundation. This article constructs a new sociological theory based on the Confucian worldview, which is a pioneering work exploring the possibility of various sociological understandings of reality, and also suggests that it has important practical significance for the sociological restoration of modern society.
