In this paper, I will explore the pseudogapping phenomenon in English from the deletion view of vP ellipsis. I will also assume that pseudogapping is related to focus phenomenon. To explain this phenomenon, I will propose that Foc has an uninterpretable P-(or E-)feature in English. Once Foc has been introduced in the derivation, the outer spec of Foc must be filled by the object. After that, the whole vP is deleted by the phonological rule, [ΦvP]→ φ/E______, at PF-component.
