초록
This paper aims to examine the ‘formal nouns+-yo(요)’ constructions of the internet communication language on the viewpoint of panmal(or half-talk, 반말). The ‘formal nouns+-yo(요)’ constructions are idiosyncratic linguistic phenomena because they can be discovered in only communication environments for internet. It results from the property of both written and spoken language style of the internet communication language. Three types of database are discussed in this paper. First, the ‘formal nouns+’i (copula, 이)-/ha (formal verb, 하)-’’ constructions undergo the ‘i (이)-/ha (하)-’ truncation, then combine with -yo(요). Secondly, the formal noun jul (줄) construction which can not combine with ‘i (이)-/ha (하)-makes the ‘al (알)-/moru (모르)-’ verb ellipsis, then combines with -yo (요). And lastly, the formal noun chae (채) construction which also can not combine with ‘i (이)-/ha(하)- makes the main clause ellipsis, then combines with -yo(요). These two processes, truncation/ellipsis and combination are derived from the two purposes, economy of effort and hearer-honorific.
