This paper aims to prove that a first ‘NP-ka’ of state-property adjective sentence is a syntactic topic by some subjecthood tests. When the semantic relation of first ‘NP-ka’(NP1)and second ‘NP-ka’(NP2) of the sentences is ‘human relation’ or ‘alienable possession’, NP1s don’t satisfy some subjecthood tests. The NP1s which the semantic relation of NP1 and NP2 in the sentences is ‘object-property’ or ‘whole-part’ satisfy some subjecthood tests only when the referent of NP1 is identical with the referent of NP2’s possessor. Conclusionally the second types of NP1s don’t satisfy the subjecthood tests without this qualification and are not the syntactic subject. The NP1s of state-property adjective sentences are not an argument of the adjectives but a syntactic topic of the sentences which Im(2007) has proposed.
