日本の古典文学を中心に, 東アジアの比較研究を行っている立場から, 以下の提言を行った。東アジアの範囲を19世紀以前（前近代）の 「漢字·漢文の文化圏」 としてとらえる。日本の古典研究は,中国古典との比較だけに焦点が当てられ,韓国やベトナムの古典はまだ充分認識されておらず, 「東アジア文学史」 の構築が急務である。西洋に対抗して出来た 「東洋学」 の成果を受け継ぎつつも,より現実的な文化交流にもとずく 「東アジア」 学が必要である。また,比較文学の方法も日中や日韓の一対一対応ではなく,多面的で重層的な比較研究が重要な意義を持つ。さらに,多文化交流をふまえた新概念の 「交流文学」 と 「比較文学」 とを 合わせた方法論を提起した。
Abstract
From the perspective of comparative studies of East Asia, this article suggests the following ideas. This first is to take “East Asia” as the cultural sphere of Chinese characters and writing from ancient times to the early modern times (namely, premodern times). The Classical Studies in Japan tend to focus on the comparison with Chinese classics solely and failed to get enough knowledge of Korean classics and Vietnam classics. Hence, it is urgent that History of East Asian Literature should be constructed. East Asian Studies based on the outcomes of Oriental Studies and the actual intercultural exchanges has become necessary. As for the methodology of comparison, it is important to carry out a multifaceted and multi-layered comparison instead of a single-line, one-to-one comparison. This article also brings up a methodology that combines “Exchange Literature”, a brand-new concept coming into being in the multicultural and intercultural exchanges, with the concept “Comparative Literature”.
