Abstract

The convention industry and meeting business has grown rapidly worldwide and domestically, and human resources of the convention industry have become complex and diversified. However, the manpower is not yet enough to meet the need of convention industry. In order to strengthen the competitiveness of convention industry, to develop the convention specialized human resources, the improvement of convention license system are essential. This study explores the several research questions about the certified in convention meeting planner. The research questions are following; First, convention planners's eligibility to take certification exam and the test subjects are appropriate? Second, the competent authority of the convention planner exam is appropriate? Third, the certification exam preparation institutions have appropriate qualifications and curriculum? Lastly, the utilization of convention planners certification is appropriate?After the expert interviews and survey, some of the solutions for the settlement of the convention meeting planner license system are suggested. For the improvement of the convention planner license system, the continuous research and the efforts of both public and private sides should not be spared. The post qualification management system is required to grant an incentive to and guarantee the employment for the license holders.
