초록
Program planning is highly important to be acknowledged in the ever diverse meeting planning area, and is the key to the success of the convention. Given the fact that the main objectives of convention are information acquisition and education as presented in previous researches for convention participants, one of the most critical success factors lies in the contents of the convention. In this regard, this study focuses on the important role of speakers in planning competitive and distinctive conventions. Firstly, types of conventions held in Korea will be analysed. Followingly, actual cases of providing more substantial service, besides simple speaker linkage service, such as composition of the meeting program and suggestion of speakers will be presented. In the process, the orientation of the program planning in the future will be proposed, and based on the actual cases, a deeper consideration will follow on the speakers bureau's role and potential to provide speaker linkage service as an active meeting contents provider.
