6자회담의 동북아 다자안보협력체로의 발전방안 분석

초록

본 논문은 다자안보협력체로서의 북핵 6자회담의 실효성에 대해 검토하며, 특히 6자회담 내에 설치된 동북아 평화·안보실무그룹 회의가 다자안보협력체로 발전될 가능성에 주목한다. 그간의 세 차례 회의를 통해 평가하면, 실무그룹의 다자안보협력체로의 발전 가능성과 실효성은 그 한계에도 불구하고 당초 예상보다 큰 것으로 예상된다.

Abstract

The Six-Party Talks, as the only official mechanism dealing with security issues in the region, has the potential to become a good platform for broader security cooperation. Especially working group on the Northeast Asian peace and security in the Six-Party Talks does have some important advantages that should be included in a well-designed security mechanism. Through this working group, The six nations can make efforts to create a regional peace and security mechanism.
