초록
The rapid development of artificial intelligence has sparked discussions about the emergence of ChatGPT, with scholars noting its potential in the tourism and hotel industries. This study used the 5W1H method, addressing ’why,‘ ’who,‘ ’what,‘ ’when,‘ ’where,‘ and ’how’, to explore the motivations and preferences of travelers using ChatGPT in tourism and hospitality. This exploratory research aims to uncover the potential directions and benefits of ChatGPT's future applications in these industries, providing recommendations for stakeholders. Findings show that many travelers use ChatGPT for travel purposes and are willing to use it during their tours. Relevant studies also suggest that ChatGPT contributes to enhancing travelers' satisfaction and enjoyment during their tourism experiences. Its application in tourism is flexible, timely, and precise, without being limited by time, personnel, or location.
