초록
This paper presents tries to show that the so called grammatical case postpositions in Korean may not be case postpositions and that they can be analysed without resort to the case feature. The case allows for the explanation of the basic function, i.e. marking the syntactic function but these postpositions show the properties that are not expected as case element and so that make the analysis difficult: the combination with semantic case postpositions but not with 'eun/neun' and 'do' which can be added to the latters, the compatibility with non case categories like adverb and the double case constructions. These properties can be analysed with ease and properly by another feature that is MARKING. As non case postpositions, they can be added to case but also to non case categories. Postpositions with this feature cannot combine with each other by supposing that this feature restricts that the complement do not have it. Double case constructions are now analysed as double marking constructions. And finally verbs and nouns define this feature's value of their arguments and modifiers, and they constrain the distribution of marking postpositions.
