국내 커뮤니티 디자인은 제도적, 정책적으로 도시재생, 주민참여 등과 같은 키워드가 중요해지면서 실천이 강조되는 이론으로 발전해 왔다. 특히 커뮤니티 디자인은 특정 분야를 지칭하는 것이 아니라 ‘커뮤니티’라는 가치를 중심으로 복합적이고 다학제적인 분야가 얽혀있어, 보다 입체적으로 파악될 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 토픽 모델링 및 토픽트렌드 분석 방법을 활용하여 커뮤니티 디자인에 대한 국내 연구 동향을 살펴보고, 연구자들의 관심 주제와 논의 변화의 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 연구 결과 도출된 시사점은 다음과 같다: (1)우리나라에서는 기존 물리적 환경 개선 사업에서 벗어나 경제·사회·문화적 접근을 통한 통합적 지역 활성화를 위하여 커뮤니티 디자인이 부각되기 시작하였다. (2)상승하는 연구주제인 핫토픽에 해당하는 주제에는 공공, 문화, 교육, 도서관, 장소 등 복합적 장소로 활용되는 공공공간의 복합장소 연구가 포함되었다. 또한 복지 공간 관련 주제와 도시 경관 관련 주제, 공연 및 전시 공간 관련 주제의 연구가 꾸준히 증가하였음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 문화적인 측면에서의 커뮤니티 디자인 개념 및 복지의 관점이 중요시되고 있음을 알 수 있다. (3)Topic 19, 21에서 도출된 브랜드, 기업, 마케팅, 쇼핑몰, 지역, 변화 등의 관련 키워드는 본 논문의 서론에서 언급한 지역 사업을 리브랜딩(Rebranding)하여 성공시킨 사례와 같이, 커뮤니티 디자인이 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 구축해 나가고 있다고 해석할 수 있다.
Abstract
Community design in South Korea has developed into a theory emphasizing practice as keywords such as urban regeneration and resident participation have become important institutionally and politically. The implications derived from the research are as follows: (1) Community design in South Korea began to emerge for integrated regional revitalization through economic, social, and cultural approaches, moving away from existing physical environment improvement projects. (2) Hot topic shows that the concept of community design and the welfare perspective from the view of culture are considered as an crucial part. (3) Related keywords such as brand, company, marketing, shopping mall, region, and change derived from Topics 19 and 21 are community design, as in the case of the successful rebranding of a local business mentioned in the introduction of this research. It can be interpreted that this new business model is being built.
