초록

The purpose of this paper is to philosophically review the basic ideas and framework of thoughts outlined below which are used as premises by cultural researchers in the twenty-first century. Culture in its entirety is facing global crisis. In this study, cultural crisis is defined, and the paradox of its relation to the results of natural science’s remarkable development is presented. Thus, an attempt to provide ideas toward overcoming this cultural crisis while focusing on the concept of humanity addresses related issues from the viewpoints of cultural philosophy, intercultural philosophy and neuro-ethics. Cultural studies in the twenty-first century are confronted by complexity as the global expansion and diffusion of cultural phenomena have enhanced the ambiguities of its representation. Cultural studies, now face major challenges like the flagging of traditional cultures, the increased cultural fragmentation or complexity which are becoming more serious globally among peoples – particularly among minorities – irrespective of origin and economic background. In view of cultural ambiguities, developments from the field of Philosophy, Science and Technology, are intended to give light to the very nature of our own cultural experience. Such work should play an increasingly important role in securing humanity which serves as the foundation of culture, and in promoting sound development in more specific branches like morals, ethics, law, etc.
