Abstract

In this study, features of Feng shui and construction process in The Eastern and Western Qing Tombs is focussed by means of literature record consideration and field survey. Qing Dynasty is the last empire established by Manchurian, and the tombs of emperor, empress and royal concubine were constructed in liaoning and hebei province. The tomb were reflects Manchurian traditional and less advanced sense. However, as Manchurians settled down in Beijing they accepted advanced tomb construction institution. At that time, the Feng shui of Gangseo school was an important consideration and it actually functioned as a crucial standard for location selection. Feng shui was decisive and even absolute factor for Qing Dyinasty to select the location and to construct tomb. But it was not just used to find a propitious site for a grave but also to handle several political values.
