제2차 세계대전이 끝난 지 71년이 지났지만 동북아 역사화해를 둘러싸고 복잡하게 얽힌 실타래는 아직 풀리지 않고 있다. 한․중․일 3국의 역사인식은 여전히 마찰과 대립을 이어가고 있다. 역사감정은 공감이 부족하고, 역사책임 문제에 대해서는 일본은 억울해하고 한국과 중국은 이러한 일본의 태도에 반발하고 있다. 역사인식 문제는 한․중․일 3국을 질곡에 빠뜨리고 화해를 어렵게 만드는 난제이다. 이렇게 한중일 3국이 제2차 세계대전에서 서로 상반되는 기억과 주장을 갖고 있기는 하지만 한중일 3국의 역사인식을 둘러싼 마찰은 조율될 가능성이 높다. 그리고 한중 양국은 2차세계대전의 집단기억을 통해 공감대를 형성하고, 일본의 집단기억의 기저에 깔려 있는 피해 의식에 대해서는 합리적인 대응방안을 찾을 수 있도록 협력한다면 역사화해를 실현할 수 있을 것이다. 3국이 진정한 역사화해를 도모하려면 3국의 역사에 대한 인식과 감정이 일치되고 전쟁 범죄의 책임을 대하는 일본의 자세가 3국 정부와 국민들의 기대심리를 만족시켜야 한다. 3국간 역사화해에 영향을 미치는 관건적인 요소는 과거의 침략과 식민지배 역사 그리고 역사문제에 대한 일본의 인식과 입장에 달려 있다. 역사인식, 역사감정, 역사책임 이 세 가지 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 한․중․일 3국이 공동 협력하여 동북아 역사화해 국면을 타개해야 한다.
Abstract
71 years later, the complexity of Northeast Asian -historical reconciliation has been hardly alleviated. There are significant conflicts and confrontation on historical issues between China, the ROK and Japan. In the area of historical emotion, China, the ROK and Japan are lack of “empathy”. When it comes to the area of historical responsibility, Japan seems “aggrieved”, while China and the ROK is surrounded by a questionable even protest mode. The understanding of history is still the sticking point of the historical reconciliation between China, the ROK and Japan. The complete historical reconciliation between China, the ROK and Japan, depending on the accordance of historical cognition and emotion of the three countries, and on Japan’s performance of historical responsibility, whether meets the psychological expectation of both the governments and nations of the three countries or not. The key elements influencing Northeast Asian historical reconciliation still lie in Japan’s cognition of aggression and colonial rule, as well as Japan’s performance on related issues. According to the central issues of historical cognition, emotion and responsibility, China, the ROK and Japan should promote historical reconciliation from these three aspects, reaching real and complete Northeast Asian historical reconciliation.
