FTA확산에 따른 기술개발 중소기업의 수출 경쟁력에 관한 연구

본 연구는 Melitz(1993)이후 신 국제무역이론(Newly New International Trade Theory)에서 주장하는 ‘각 기업의 생산성은 다르다(Heterogeneous)'는 점을 본 연구모형에 도입하여 우리나라 기술개발 중소기업, 특히 기술혁신형 중소기업의 직접적인 기업레벨 원시자료를 이용, 각 요인 간 매출과 수출과의 인과관계를 분석했다는데 그 의의가 있다. 그 결과, 기업내 기술개발주도자가 CEO인 경우, 기술개발 성공에 따른 성과보상제도를 실시하는 기업일수록, 기술개발비와 R&D인원수 등 양적 투입이 많은 기업일수록, 설립한지 오래된 기업일수록, 지식재산권 수가 많을수록, 그리고 기술도입선으로는 국내에서 기술을 도입하는 등 요인이 수출성과에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 각각 도출되었다. 본 연구결과에 의해 산출된 결과들이 FTA 확대로 글로벌 시장에서의 경쟁력을 도모하기 위한 정부의 중소기업 R&D에 대한 이해와 양적 투자에 대한 기초 자료로써 활용되어 학문적 발전과 정책방향 수립에 도움이 되길 바란다.
Abstract
This study introduces the fact that the 'productivity of each firm is different' as claimed by Melitz (1993) in NewlyNewInternationalTradeTheory . It is meaningful that Korea focused on technology development SMEs, especially SMEs with technology innovation, and analyzed causality between sales and exports of each factor by using enterprise level raw data. As a result, the following factors influenced export performance as follows: technology development leaders by CEO, companies that perform performance compensation systems, companies with high technology development costs and R & D personnel, long running companies , companies with large intellectual property rights, and companies that adopt technology in Korea. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the academic and policy development of the government as basic data used in the understanding of the government's SME R&D and the quantitative investment needed in order to enhance competitiveness in the global market by expanding the FTA.
