본교에서는 규장각 소장『崇禎曆書』을 분석하여 明代의 판본임을 확정지었고 현전하는 본 가운데 가장 풍부한 내용을 담고 있다고 보았다. 이 명대 판본에서『曆引』은 가장 독특한 부분으로 다른 현전하는 『崇禎曆書』 본에서는 나타나지 않는다. 『曆引』과『新法曆引』을 비교해보면， 아담샬 (Adarn Schall, 湯若望)이 청나라에 온 이후 어떻게 급변하는 정치적 상황에 따라 다양한 방법으로 자신이 만든 역법을 합법화 시켰는지를 알 수 있다. 규장각에는 이외에도 청대 역서와 관련된 자료가 소장되어 있어 조선인들 이 새로운 역법을 적극적으로 받아들이려고 했음을 보여준다.
Abstract
This paper examines the Chongzhen lishu (CalendricalStudies of the Chongzhen Reign) housed in the Kyujanggak library closely andconcludes that it includes the most contents than other collections of the Chongzhen lishu that we know of. Its Liyin (Introduction to the Calendar) is the most valuable, probably the only extant Ming edition of the text, from which we see how Adam Schall changed his strategy to legitimate the newcalendar he had made. Other related materials in the Kyuganggak reveals how the Choson dynasty attempted to acquire astronomical information from the Qing aggressively.
