본 연구는 여가활동 참여가 유치원 교사의 심리적 소진에 차이를 가져오는가를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 설정한 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유치원 교사의 심리적 소진의 일반적 경향은 어떠하며 관련 변인에 따라 차이가 있는가? 둘째, 유치원 교사의 여가활동 참여 실태는 어떠한가? 셋째, 유치원 교사의 여가활동 참여 형태에 따라 심리적 소진에 차이가 있는가? 이 연구는 부산광역시 소재 사립유치원에 근무하고 있는 교사 194명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구에 참여한 유치원 교사들에게 심리적 소진 검사와 여가활동 실태 설문지를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 평균차 검증, 빈도분포, 분산분석을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체적으로 연구 참여자의 심리적 소진 정도는 평균보다 약간 낮았으며, 심리적 소진은 부장교사나 원감보다 일반 교사가, 4년제 이상 교사보다는 2-3년제 교사가, 기혼자보다는 미혼자가 높았다. 둘째, 여가활동 참여 비율은 감상․관람활동이 가장 높았고, 참여 빈도는 주2-3일이 가장 높았으며, 참여 시간은 60분 이상이 가장 높았다. 여가활동의 주 동반자는 친구였다. 셋째, 심리적 소진은 여가활동 참여유형에 따라 차이가 없었으나, 참여빈도와 참여시간에 따라서는 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여 본 연구가 유치원 교사의 소진 예방 또는 감소를 위한 여가활동의 활용에 주는 시사점에 대해 논의하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the influence of leisure activity participation on psychological burnout of private kindergarten teachers. In order to achieve this research purpose, the following research questions were established. First, what is the general characteristics of psychological burnout of private kindergarten teachers and is there any significant difference in psychological burnout according to relevant variables? Second, what is the general characteristics of leisure activity participation of private kindergarten teachers? Third, is there any significant difference in psychological burnout according to leisure activity participation type of private kindergarten teachers? 194 private kindergarten teachers in Busan participated in this study. These participants completed Psychological Burnout Inventory and Leisure Activity Questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using t-test, frequency distribution and one-way ANOVA. Major findings of this study were as follows. First, the mean scores of psychological burnout were somewhat below average. Second, teachers rather than senior teachers and vice principals, 4-year college and post-college graduates rather than 2-3 year college graduates and single teachers rather than married teachers showed higher psychological burnout. Third, appreciation․watching activity was the highest among leisure activities in terms of ration, 2-3 day per week was the highest in terms of frequency, and more than 1 hour was the highest in terms of participation time. Major company of leisure activity was a friend. Finally, no significant differences were found in psychological burnout according to leisure activity participation type, but there were some significant differences according to participation frequency and time.
