자유시장질서론이 사회과 교육에서 갖는 의미 연구

본 연구에서는 우리 사회에 보편적 질서로 자리 잡고 있는 시장 경제에 주목하면서 이에 적합한 ‘시장과 정부의 관계’를 하아에크의 자유주의 입법론을 중심으로 정리하였다. 이는 학교 현장에서 획일적으로 진행되고 있는 사화과 교육의 방향과도 관련 있다. 즉, 사회과 교육의 한 분야로서의 경제 교육도 시장과 정부의 관계를 설정할 때 과거의 국가주의적 의무감이나 책임만을 강조하는 공동체주의적 정부관에서 탈피하여. 공정한 경쟁규칙으로서의 자유의 법’을 유지하고 보호하는 정부 역할에 대한 재정리가 필요하다고 보았다. 또한 ‘자유의 법’에 따른 자생적 시장질서 유지를 위해서는 경제 행위에서 ‘너와 나’의 관계를 구성하는 타자에 대한 ‘관용’의 덕목이 시민성 교육에서 중요하다고 지적한 뒤, 이러한 다원화된 시장질서에 적합한 경제 교육 방법론을 구성주의적 교육에서 찾아 봄으로써 지식과 정보의 교환분업의 장으로서의 시장질서가 갖는 의미를 강조하였다.
Abstract
A Study on the Meaning of Liberal Market Order in Economic Education Our law education have largely emphasized the community consciousness and individual responsibility, so the right of liberty has been restricted and the variety and creativeness of school education in the knowledge- based-society has been weakened. Especially concerned with the liberal democratic society, market principle recently made an overall effect on education with the liberal competitive actions. The liberal democratic society basically presupposes that all people are equally free and different people have different talents and different values, so it is necessary for us to aim at the increase of the consciousness of individual freedom in economic education. In addition to that, the liberalism is an very important concept in knowledge-based-society, because in that society the value of individualism is equally regarded as an element of pluralism. So in this study first, I made an effort to analyze the contents of the liberalism in the knowledge-based-society and to find the proper tool of law education in Hayek's liberalism. Next, the purpose of this study suggests that the plurality and toleration should be the key elements in the citizenship education of social study.
