문화교육의 생산적 발전을 위해서는 엔터테인먼트 산업에 놀이와 교육을 접목하는 에듀테인먼트의 활성화를 통해 문화콘텐츠와 문화교육의 성공적인 조화를 이끌어낼 필요가 있다. 이는 경직된 학교교육에 창의성을 부여하고 놀이를 통한 생산적 학습과 산업경제의 발전을 동시에 이끌어내는 것이며 높은 울타리에 갇힌 학교가 지역사회와 소통할 수 있는 열린교육이 가능하게 되는 것이다. 이 중 문화교육을 축제콘텐츠나 지역의 문화공간과 연계하는 방안은 열린 교육을 실현시킬 수 있는 매우 효과적인 방법이며 지역의 문화자원을 활용하는 차원을 넘어 지역의 자원을 개발하고 유지 보존할 수 있는 매우 효과적인 방법이다. 이 연구는 지역사회, 학교, 축제가 연계하고, 축제에서 문화교육 프로그램의 전문화를 통해 에듀테인먼트로서의 축제콘텐츠의 활성화 방안을 모색한다.
Abstract
Program for Revitalization of the Regional Festival as a Edutainment Edutainment is a form of entertainment designed to educate as well as to amuse. Edutainment typically seeks to instruct or socialize its audience by embedding lessons in some familiar form of entertainment: festival, television programs, computer and video games, films, music, web site, multimedia software, etc. A festival is an event, usually staged by a local community, which centers on some unique aspect of that community. Festivals, of many types, serve to meet specific social needs and duties, as well as to provide entertainment. These times of celebration offer a sense of belonging for religious, social, or geographical groups. Modern festivals that focus on cultural or ethnic topics seek to inform members of their traditions. There are numerous types of festivals in the world. Though many have religious origins, others involve seasonal change or have some cultural significance. Also certain institutions celebrate their own festival to mark some significant occasions in their history. It is necessary to network with school and local community, to develop educational program for revitalization of the regional festival as a edutainment.
