중등 특수학교 정신지체학생과 자폐성장애학생의 적응행동 수준 분석

특수학교에 재학 중인 「장애인복지법」 시행규칙에 의한 정신지체 2급과 자폐성장애 2급 학생의 적응행동 검사 결과에 의하면 총점 80점 만점에 정신지체학생은 평균 12.41점, 자폐성장애학생은 평균 5.86으로 두 집단 간 6.55점의 평균 차이를 보였다(t=6.9, p<.001). 그러나 이러한 결과는 두 집단 모두 이들의 생활연령이 13세에서 17세임에도 불구하고 일반학생의 6세 이하의 적응연령을 보이는 것으로, 연구의 대상이 된 학생들의 적응연령은 일반학생에 비하여 최소 11년 이상 지체되어 있음을 의미하는 것이다. 적응행동 하위 영역별 분석에서 개념적 기술과 사회적 기술에 있어서는 정신지체학생이 높았지만, 실제적 기술에 대한 총점에서는 두 집단 간에 의의 있는 차이가 없었다. 특히 사회적 기술에서는 12개 모든 문항에서 자폐성장애학생의 결과가 통계적으로 의의 있게 낮았다. 이러한 결과는 자폐성장애학생에 대한 사회적 기술에 대한 집중적인 지도가 필요함을 의미하는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 개념적, 사회적, 실제적 기술의 상관관계에 대한 연구에 의하면 두 집단 모두 개념적 기술과 사회적 기술 간에는 통계적으로 의의 있는 상관이 있었으나, 실제적 기술은 다른 기술과 의의 있는 상관이 없었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out the differences of adaptive behavior skills between MR and PDD in secondary special schools. The results showed that students with MR acquired mean of 12.41 and PDD took 6.55 out of 80. The difference of the means was 6.55 at the level of t=6.9, p<.001. This result means MR has higher adaptive behavior skills than PDD. However this result showed that even though all students in this study are 13 to 17 chronological ages, they are less than 6 adaptive behavior ages. This means they are delayed about 11 adaptive behavior ages compared to normal students. Students with MR indicated higher achievements in conceptual skills and especially social skills than PDD's. This means that more systematically approaches are need for the PDD’s social skills in special schools. The correlations between conceptual and social skills showed statistically significances, however there were no significances between practical skills and others.
